My day on a plate: University Edition

Iv decided to show you my day on a plate! I have found these rather interesting yet hilarious to read! This s my typical day on a plate when I go to University.

6:30am- Alarm goes off, struggle out of bed
7:15am- I go to the kitchen to make myself a smoothie. In my latest smoothie I’m having blueberries, banana, orange juice, yogurt and chia seeds. YUM!
10:30am- I have an apple then sometimes a “toffee dazzle” cereal bar.
12:30pm- at uni I try to be healthy, but I’m a student so it doesn’t always work out that way! It’s either chicken fajitas or I pre make pasta with tomato, spring onion and cucumber.
3:00pm- normally some grapes or an apple. But lately my friends and I have been getting a box of chips to share in attempt to make it through the lecture.
5:00pm- BUS TIME/HOME TIME
6:30pm- my mum will usual put on some food if she is home which can range from potatoes to oven chips and onion rosti! Today I had chicken with seasoning and some chips!
9pm- usually calls for a snack! Normally Cheetos or chocolate 😀

Body confidence

Im here this fine evening to discuss body confidence girls (Maybe guys too!). Its always a dreaded subject but your not alone!
Personally Im not a huge fan of my body shape but who is right? We all need to learn to rock our body shape and be confident with who we are! 🙂
My body shape

For my body shape I would say im a pear shape, I would prefer to be slim and have goo boobs but with a slight curve! Its not easy to discus your physical figure on the internet for the world to see!
I have no boobs, a 26inch waist, large hips. ZERO thigh gap and not a great bum bum……. yeah I just used bum bum.
Some may say its not that bad and that I should be “lucky” to have this figure, but the people saying that I may want their figure instead.
Confidence and OWN it!

Yes. Own it.

As many of the diets iv tried (the most recent being slim fast) I cant change my bone structure and either can you. I know that sucks but one thing that helps is dressing for you figure right? Wrong. Wear what you want to wear not what society says we should wear for our figure yes?

WE always do what society sees as “Acceptable” and not what we like for our self. So you like that skirt well buy it! Its a size 18…… so? If you like it well that’s all that truly matters!
Im terribly sorry for this next sentence but the truth hurts: Its what’s on the inside that counts.
Iv heard that sentence so many time’s that it hurts but yet iv realised its true!

Think of its this way when you are 90 years old are you really going to care what you wore into town that Saturday? Or that your friend was skinnier and you went on a diet to be like them? No. Be happy with who you are because you will lead a much better life!
I hope what iv said make even 1 person think or feel a bit better about them self! It took a lot of thinking writing this and it was a bit like a therapy session for myself!

My Fresher University tips.

University: Fresher’s Survival Guide

Ola everyone and hello to all the new fresher’s out there starting University like myself! Some people might start uni in January and this week its been “re-freshers”, so i thought id write about the fresher experience!

The month of September is probably the most exciting month of Fresher experience. Its filled with moving city, buying new things, independence, getting university stationary ( in my case the exciting part!) and of course alcohol.

Alcohol- Ok Students and non-student, fresher’s week is coming up. For those of you who do not know the wonders of fresher’s week this is what it involves: Sex, alcohol, more alcohol, drinking games, naïve students leaving drinks alone to be spiked, alcohol, meeting new people and a tad more alcohol.

Bring lots of paracetamol for fresher’s because guaranteed if you have a class at 9am you will still probably/ most likely still go out the night before till 5am.

I strongly suggest that you don’t over do it because alcohol does have negative effects!

Don’t drink to impress others, if you feel uncomfortable them don’t drink, if they are true friends they will understand! Its not all about alcohol but also trying to have fun.

I beg those of you not from the city or familiar with city life I BEG please never leave your drink unattended! Its not a smart thing to do as it will most likely get spiked and no one wants that!

Stationary

I would like to throw a mini disclaimer out there as I am not saying you do all this as it is all my own opinion and im not pretending to be an expert!

So stationary! This is personally my fave part of “Back to school” / “New Term”! Here is my list down below:

My weekday night routine

Today I went to uni (University) and I had a class till 1pm. I spend several hours doing some revision, went back to my friends to do an exercise video and then finally home time! Here is typically what I do when I come home at night!

First things first I take off all my make up with sephora make up removal wipes.
Then of course I have to put on that onesie to go down have some food.

Since I live in Scotland….. It’s cold!
Cold + my skin = dry as the dessert.

Normally this is the time I chill in my room and get cosy for a while. I’m a student (other students feel my pain?)….. Let’s take a moment to have empathy for me and the other students out there! *pray for us*
Back to the point, this is the time where I do some reading, homework and catch up on notes.

I like to go through my flash cards one Iv learnt a subject so I can review them before the night is over!
Next: SHOWER! A long hot shower is needed after this long day: lately in the shower Iv been using zoella bath gel and a massage bar from lush.
My hair right now is a different blog all together which I may write in the next week or two. Bad hair times.

Now I can finally relax in bed, due to me attempting to “get fitter” I haven’t been eating after 7pm= no snacks.
I have just recently bought this book “sleepless”, I’m a huge bookwork and I love to have my nose stuck in a book!
This is now my time to destress and read my book to relax before bed.
Then I sleep and start the day over again! As you can see I had a busy day!

When I was younger I was called Luna (from Harry Potter) because I was chirpy and a little naive sometimes! Somehow that turned into Lunar eclipse beauty! I like the name and I think it’s cool/ unusual? What do you guys think, let me know!
I used to be Lorie Lolli Pop, but I didn’t like that as I got older!

Previous jobs?
Oh god! I worked a restaurant for s while as a waitress and hated it!
Then I work in Whsmith in the stationary department for 3 years and I loved the people I worked with! Iv made friends for life ❤ however it wasn't the best job!
Now I work for a care company as a part time support worker/ carer= best job ever!

Disclaimer: I did all these jobs whilst studying at college and currently university.

My EOS collection

Here is just a cheeky little preview of my EOS collection. I live in Scotland which means only Harvey Nichols and urban outfitters sell these beauty’s! I can buy a set of 5 on eBay for around £20, however if I buy these separately sadly they are a bit pricey at £7/8 per ball!

I love my EOS collection,God knows what I did before discovering these! The first one I ever purchased was called “Summer fruits”, I bought it in wal-greens in Florida! As you can see my collection has grown great since then!

Stila: lip glaze review

I recently just got Stila lip glaze in the January edition of birch box. The lip glaze is in the shade @glamour

I’m really loving this lip glaze as it is not sticky, long lasting and has wonderful pigmentation! I do think this is pricey for what it is: around the £15 mark.
I’m glad I got it as a sample however I wouldn’t repurchase this, as I’m sure there is better drug store products for less.

Get fit: Day 9/ clubbing

I’m getting better at this! Sadly word press app decided to shut down and go all nuts on me, but I’m back!
Fitness was going wonderful until I decided to go out clubbing. Sadly I have left my fitbit in the house and have nothing new to report! I really like trying get healthier, my skin is glowing and I feel so much better about myself.
Please if you have any heathy recipes let me know! 😀

Get fit day 8

Today I went for a run first thing in the morning! For me it is an achievement because I love a long lie on day off.

Then I came home had my berry smoothie and was out the door to run some errands. For lunch I had a cheese and onion panni because I was mega hungry today!
I went for a swim and swam 20 lengths! Woweeee was that difficult! After a swim it was time for the sauna.
Sauna: your supposed to sit in the sauna then go into a plunge pool or an ice cold shower, it’s supposed to speed up your metabolism to burn more fat.

I went home and had some noodles, by the time I had my noodle it was time for bed, so here I am updating you all! Enjoy!
